Tick tock tick tock
Now you want to talk
Did not want to before
Instead you walked out the door
Tick tock tick tock
Now that I am doing okay
You have so much to say
Don’t know what to do
Because I need space from you
Tick tock tick tock
the hands on the clock
do not stand still
each second, every minute, every hour
must be used
I know you are confused
The person you use to rule
Has found the strength to move

About the Book
This is her third book of poetry. Her poems are about life experiences, family, innocent childhood memories, things you do not always want to talk about, and about history being made.
About the Author
She was born in Louisville, Georgia. She moved to Brooklyn, New
York at the age of 12 and grew up in Bedford Stuyvesant. She enjoys writing poetry and she has been writing poetry since she was a teenager. She received her degree from the City College of New York. She is retired after 40 years of federal government service. A wife and a proud mother and a proud grand-mother. She often encourages others who enjoy writing to continue to do so. She believes everyone has a story to tell.
