Majority of societies first impression of love is always pure, honest and sweet. But how do we appreciate real love without recognizing the struggle, distain, and compromise that must be given to make love real. This book is everything love is…The good, the bad and the real.
About the Author
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” With that being said let me introduce myself. My name is Latavia Huntley. A product of the 80’s born in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gorgeous Unknown is my pen name, my signature of love. Not like an alter ego but my way of letting my words speak for themselves. As a young lady, poetry was equilavent to love at first sight. Pen and paper gave me the opportunity to express my every thought and emotion fully without the chance of one word being denied or interrupted. As a writer so many things can impact writer’s style. For instance, people, education and surroundings to name a few. Naturally as a human I’m not exempt. Life experiences give people the best material. If ever enticed into conversation about what writers inspired my style, my top five would be an easy rebuttal. And it goes a little something like this... William Shakespeare, the man who can make a tragic death sound sweet. Langston Hughes my jazz and blues, he was way before his time. Lorraine Hansberry, A raisin in the Sun. Maya Angelou, feminine and phenomenal. (My Fairy Godmother) Sister Souljah, Unapologetic and pushes the need for education. Lastly, Tracy Brown, consider her a diamond in the rough. They’ve all touched my heart along with many more. Being a philanthropist in my community the welfare of people is most important. Encouraging children to read while providing resources is my only dream Reading promotes thinking and understanding leaving understanding to prompt love. All in hope of children influencing adults to believe again, forgive again and make being a role model cool again. Love conquers all.
