About the Book

Do you believe in angels and fairies? This is a story about a nine-year-old girl named Sally Rose who, if you asked her the same question, she would say, “Yes, I do.” In this story, Sally Rose goes on a journey that tests her ability to open her mind and allow things to unfold the way they are meant to. This journey allows her to experience events she never thought possible. She gets answers to her so many questions, but she gets so much more. She learns that love and patience and truly believing will get you to a place of peace and tranquility. Follow Sally Rose on her journey and you, the reader, can decide for yourself if what Sally Rose experienced is true or not. I ask you to keep an open mind while reading this story. I believe you, the reader, will come away being a believer as well. This is a book enjoyed by children as well as adults. Enjoy.

About the Author

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, the author, together with her parents, moved to New York City, where she spent her early years. As an adult, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she now resides with her husband, Fred. She lives just a couple of miles from her adult daughters, Lisa and Tracey, as well as her grandsons Brandon and Andrew. She is a very big part of their lives and finds spending time with her family to be the most enjoyable part of her day, with writing stories coming in a close second. Having spent a greater part of her life surrounded by children, the author has a unique understanding of how children think and react to certain situations. She has always enjoyed their ability to create fantasy, as she did as a child. She has the unique ability to communicate with children of all ages and has always enjoyed hearing where their fantasy worlds have taken them. One such child is her own daughter, who is an adult now. However, at the age of four, her daughter Tracey created an imaginary friend she called Sally Rose. This is where the Secret World of Sally Rose began in the author's mind. She knew one day she would create a story around this character, which she did in her book The Secret World of Sally Rose and the Gifts of Christmas Mountain. This book took her on a journey of love, patience, and belief. After writing The Secret World of Sally Rose and the Gifts of Christmas Mountain, the author realized that writing has become a labor of love and she has many ideas for her upcoming books. The author would like to invite children of all ages to tap into their own writing skills and turn their thoughts into a book. She encourages children to just start writing whatever they are thinking, and they will be surprised at how their own stories will unfold.
