About the Book
Chaucer is a lovable little dog who shares his adventures with children. They quickly identify with the little dog because his adventures are very similar to theirs. In CHAUCER GOES TO THE DOCTOR, Chaucer takes the children to the animal hospital when he goes for his annual checkup. While they are there, they learn many interesting things. Perhaps the most interesting is that when a pet goes to their veterinarian, it is very similar to when a child goes to his or her pediatrician! The book is written in rhyme and has actual photographs as illustrations. Chaucer hopes you enjoy going along to the animal hospital with him. CHAUCER GOES TO THE DOCTOR is the third book in the series of books called “Tails by Chaucer”. The other two books are CHAUCER’S TOY BOX and CHAUCER’S FAVORITE PLACE.
About the Author
Lynn Lensmire was born in the beautiful rolling hills of north central Wisconsin. As a small child, she could be found investigating the yellow petals of a dandelion or cheering on a tiny ant as it struggled to carry something more than twice its size back to its nest. Always close by was a dog, a faithful companion who shared every adventure and listened to every magic story Lynn had to tell. Lynn and her husband, John, have five children and thirteen grandchildren, all of whom love to take quiet walks, watch the sunset, and marvel at the world around them. As a teacher for many years, Lynn taught hundreds of children not only to look, but to see, to take time to appreciate what was around them. Now that she is retired, Lynn continues to share the world she loved as a child, a world where frogs talk, flowers wink at you when you aren’t looking and little dogs help us to understand the world around us. Lynn hopes you enjoy “Chaucer Goes to the Doctor,” the third book in her series of books, Tailsby Chaucer.
