About the Book

“Poetry Manifest” offers a variety of poems written over the last 45 years. The first section, “Doubts & Redoubts” is selected from the book by the same title published in 2009. The second section, “The Nancy Poems” were also published in that book. Finally the third section, “Pasts & Repasts” are mainly from the 2000’s and reflect on the era.

About the Author

Philip Finkle was born near the Mississippi River in Muscatine, Iowa. He grew up in Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois. He has been an optical lab technician, factory worker, truck driver, social worker, hood carrier, grocery worker, soldier, warehouseman, and desk clerk. He presently resides near the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri.
