About the Book
Life engages the eye and ear, all the senses, offering a vision of some inclination or intrigue. Often, in a poet’s mind, those hints and guesses that come in glimpses of events and images and poses begin to suggest the energies that come in a poem’s life. The poem draws out the interactions that happen in the mind and proposes itself. A poet is a writer; a writer writes. The poem then becomes the lure for a reader to discover a happening within. So are these offered.
About the Author
I am a retired minister from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), living in the hills of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. During the course of my ministry, I began writing poetry; that was in the early 1980s. The process and the product of writing poetry have been useful and satisfying to me. I began a few years of attendance on the online poetry workshop Desert Moon Review in April of 2004, finding my involvement helpful to me as a poet. I live in retirement with my wife of forty-seven years, a pair of dogs, and a handful of cats.
