About the Book

James Johnson Jr. is a highly successful marketing agent at one of the biggest advertising agencies in the United States. Set to inherit a fortune from his ill father’s estate, James becomes lax with his job, also neglecting his duties as a son, father, and husband. After several unfortunate events, James finds himself in the midst of a tornado of lies, lust, and murder. Struggling to keep his life from spiraling out of control while his family, career, and sanity hangs in the balance. James attempts to remain calm as he fights to keep his life from crumbling around him. Even throughout the storm, he remains focused on the grand scheme that is walking away clean with his family’s fortune.

About the Author

Michael Arnez Murry was born November 14, 1979, in Detroit, Michigan. Raised in the Herman Gardens Housing Projects, parented by Johnnie and Clara becoming the seventh of nine children. Michael is the youngest of five boys and also a father of five. Two girls, Tahara and MiCole, along with three boys, Desmond, Nicholas and Michael. As an adolescent, Michael attended Herman Elementary before passing along to Lessenger Middle School, where he was introduced to his first love—basketball! After sifting through several high schools he landed in Charles C. Rogers Academy, where he became a standout athlete. Performances on the basketball court earned him a full athletic scholarship to attend Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. After several years of intensely pursuing a career in basketball and working dead-end jobs, Michael decided to shift his focus to music, film, and photography. Those newly found passions lead him to enroll into Specs Howard School of Media Arts, where he received a diploma in digital media arts. Currently, Michael is employed with Chrysler LLc as a production operator at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant. Recently becoming a published author, he plans to use his writing brilliance groomed from years of songwriting to publish several other projects. He also plans on converting those manuscripts in full-featured films. Michael is a hardworking, dedicated, and determined African American male who feels you should grab life by the horns.
