About the Author

Rosie Pearl Smith was born February 26, 1968, to the late Finas Smith Sr. and the late Callie B. Smith. She was born and raised in Mississippi, where she now resides. Upon graduating high school in 1986, she focused on her writing. She has one son, Nicholas Jamal Brewer. She enjoys writing, listening to music, singing, visiting with family, and going to church. She writes poetry about everything, from family and faith to the tragedy of AIDS.
