The metaphor of Spartacus was used to draw an analogy to how a Gladiator had to train, understand their opponent, Prepare from A physical, mental and strength component. He had to be persistent and to a degree his trust factor was aligned with his trainer, his weaponry and his mastery of those tools as he entered the arena. So too, it is with the sales person or any department within a company. They must learn the basics and then practice them daily to excel.

The book is meant to be a guide for the neophyte as well as a training manual that a seasoned executive can use for weeks on end to train his team about fundamentals they will use their entire working life. Many actual life experience stories and or actual meetings you might perform are interwoven into the metaphors of Gladiatorial ages and sports in general.
About the Author
The author has spent the past four decades in sales, sales management, and being an entrepreneurial owner, and at no time since the age of twenty-five has he had a business title less than vice president in any company for whom he was employed. That adds up to a lot of experience.
