About the Author

William Furr is quite an accomplished man despite all the hardships he faced in life. Bill is an author with nine published books, an artist, a self-taught archeologist, a self-taught electrical engineer, a coin collector, a stamp collector, an Indian artifact collector, a collector of historical signatures, an inventor, and a very generous man. One of Bill’s poems, “Salute to the Heroes,” was read in the Congressional Record by Senator G. V. “Sonny” Montgomery. Bill taught local history as a guest lecturer at several high school and college classes. Several of his findings from his archaeological digs are on display in museums.
