About the Book
Such moments of creativity are often accompanied by great emotion occasioned by great joy, beauty, pain, sadness, or depression. In sum, his poetry reflects a process in which the silence and quietness of the mind leads to insight and appreciation of the subtlety, meaningfulness, and depth of the lives we live.
About the Author
As a longtime student of the mind, as well as an observer of nature, J. Pineda uses poetry to describe and express what is sometimes complex and indescribable. The writing of poetry has taught him that to truly see, hear, feel, and think about life fundamentally changes us and can lead to a quieting of the mind. In his own experience, this quieting of the mind has intensified his appreciation for the process of being, nature, and feelings for those around him.
