About the Book
This Chapbook takes the reader on a journey from college, into a mental collapse, inside the confines of a psychiatric ward, and, after brief homelessness, the Poet’s search for Meaning and Truth continues in the small and quiet town of Germantown, Ohio.
About the Author
Alex Missall began forming his poetic voice at the University of Cincinnati, where he studied Creative Writing. There, his early influences were Samuel Beckett and Raymond Carver. After leaving college, he worked various jobs in Ohio, and veered toward the poetry of Rilke and the lyricism of Bob Dylan. However, Alex’s voice is uniquely his own. One idea connects the different poetic voices inside this Chapbook. The idea is love, a love which is the reward from tough and tragic experiences.
