About the Author
James P. MacGuire was educated at Johns Hopkins and Cambridge and has worked for major media companies such as Time Inc., Macmillan, The Health Network and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. He is the author or co-author of ten books, including Dusk on Lake Tanganyika and Other Poems, and his poetry and other writing has been published in many national publications, including Southern Review, America, Ironwood, St. Austin’s Review and Kansas Quarterly. James MacGuire lives in New York and is the father of two beloved sons, Pierce and Rhoads..
