About the Book

Continuing in her unique literary style, the author uses normal everyday potatoes to convey an important message to three children. Of the three children, Kate is convinced the potatoes are watching them through their eyes. Her persistence with Mr. White and Mr. Red Potato and Miss Sweet Potato pays off in a very rewarding way. By the end of the story the reader’s curiosity is keen on knowing just what the potatoes have to say. In her seventh book, the author, Barbara Winningham uses a natural playful setting along a creek to reveal an important message to the inquisitive children. As in life, it is often in the most unexpected place or setting that we are rewarded with good news. Of course, the best part of the story is the children’s chance to share the good news with their parents.
