About the Book

Not everyone can say that they’ve witnessed their mother’s murder at age fifteen, never mind admit to killing their father. Believing Nick can help her, she sticks with him, becoming closer—so close that by the time she realizes who he really is, it is too late. She’s cursed, and Marcus claims he can help her. Alexis soon learns that there’s a price for everything, even if she isn’t in a state to pay it.

About the Author

Aqsa Amjad was born in Birmingham, UK, and lives in Sparkhill. She attends a local girls’ school called ‘Swanshurst Girls School’. She is thirteen years old and has been a keen reader of books from preschool age. As Aqsa grew older, she started writing short stories on ‘Wattpad’, one of the first being in her English class, called ‘Graveyard’. After receiving positive feedback on her short stories, she set herself to the task of writing a novel called ‘Betrayal’, which she completed at the age of twelve. Since completing ‘Betrayal’, she has been writing short stories and began a new project called ‘Mirror Mirror’. After having been made aware that her novel was pitched to six Publishing Houses of which all accepted, she decided to put her current project on hold and started to draft out a sequel to ‘Betrayal’. Aqsa has said, “having six Publishing Houses accept my novel after reading only three chapters has motivated me even more, considering that some of the books I have read were rejected multiple times before being considered for publication”. Her favourite genres are Mystery, Thriller, and Mythical. Three of her favourite reads are Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, and the Mortal Instruments.
