About the Author
Georgina Schroeder was born and raised in Michigan’s downriver area, south of Detroit. She has many childhood memories of special days and events. These combined with her interest in self-esteem issues and social anxiety among youths in American culture led her to reach out and share experiences she thinks are common still today. Preteens today still often feel self-conscious and are pressured to fit in. She believes most people feel self-conscious at various ages. Parental involvement can help with teens’ issues. There are many different activities for today’s youth. Rainy days don’t last long, and young people can find bright sides in music, literature, and all art forms.
