About the Book

Dr. Charlene Klerk, Biologist and Chemist, a young scientist who has lost her family and her early memories. Whilst at a scientific conference, she is attacked by other-worldly creatures and revealed to forces that seek to use her to bring both an ancient terror to the world, and a new one. Yet there are greater forces at work and allies rising to fight with her, to hold back the evils. Despite their seemingly, overwhelming numbers, the legions of darkness may have awakened forces even they cannot control, as the Chimera, ancient guardian of life, makes its’ final moves to preserve reality. Still, can a naive teenage girl, her chauffer, a university professor and a stage illusionist hold off the bizarre, powerful and dangerous creatures before they crush the Earth’s defenders? Ordinary people might fail, but the forces of darkness have made a grave error; their interference activating latent powers in the four, powers that are starting to manifest. Now, the hordes must face the Rise of the Chimera And in the back ground, the ancient evil plots treachery, its’ entry into our realm and the end of all hope.

About the Author

Born in a small Northern England town in the sixties, to some remarkably hard working parents, my early life was as idyllic as you could imagine; friends, play and the rest. It was during that play I used my imagination to make stories. At this time, my brother brought back a role playing game back from university and I was hooked. We used to role play for many hours, much to the frustration of my parents, who wanted a practical, hardworking sons. However, after moving schools things changed, I'll skip the details, but to put mildly life went down 'Hill'. That nearly ended my career permanently, but I recovered eventually and started my first job. I managed to get reasonable results in my exams and started a career in Chemistry and then in Computing, which I remained in, when possible. Still the stories stayed with me, just bidding their time until I took my biggest move yet; down South. There I met a college that role played with a group and he offered to introduce me; I've never looked back since. That role playing group finally led me to start to create a character for one of our role playing games, which in turn became this book. As this book took shape, I began to think of all the other stories that I used to create and now they are all queued up ready to get written; a true story maker at last. Of course I had help: Paul (GM), William (Jack), Andrew (Simon) and Rob (the least loved character, John) my fellow gamers, but also colleges; Grant -Grammar and Nicole -(Whisper) Story.
