About the Book
In this story, the author uses the forest as a background for the normal day-to-day interaction between the plants and critters. She gives life to two very different but close mushroom friends, Deda Rae and Francine. One is a delicious mushroom while the other is a harmful form of toadstool. However, in the forest, the critters and plants respect the others’ role and purpose. Then, Mr. Jellie appears looking for a yummy meal of fried mushrooms. Banding together, the forest critters trick Mr. Jellie into trying some earth-natural onion tea. While napping, some popcorn that has accidentally spilled from his pocket is activated by the warming sun. You, too, will be surprised by her unique story ending.
