About the Book

All of the poems in ‘Poetry From The Cabin Porch’ were written at the Author’s cabin on his farm in Southern Illinois, most, literally while sitting on the porch of the cabin. They are all about moments, during hunting trips or relaxing times at his farm. Despite the lack of water on the property, it has become his own Walden Pond.

About the Author

For over four decades, Danny Mahlon Underwood has been expressing his feelings in poetic form. Since his first book, released in 2004 to this, his seventh book of poetry, he has stirred the minds and emotions of readers, not only here in the United States, but also in Canada, Denmark, The Philippines, Germany and across the globe.
