About the Book

When young Ivan makes a bold wish to stay up all night, he has no idea that Oakley, a magical owl, will show up to take him on a whimsical journey of self-discovery.  But where will their all-night adventure take them?  Come along as Ivan soars with Oakley through a series of adventures where he sings with a delightful dolphin, dances with a spunky toucan, and stargazes with a wise giraffe.  On his unexpected adventure, Ivan tries to fight his growing sleepiness, but he just can’t!

About the Author

Amanda Lee and Shante Willis are both lawyers practicing in the nation’s capital. They became fast friends after meeting in law school orientation in 2002. They were inspired to create a work of art that cultivates fun and memorable moments for children and their families. They put their heads together, and Oakley and Ivan were born. They each have 3 children who served as the inspiration for the first book in the Oakley and Ivan series: Oakley and Ivan and the All-Nighter.
