I see things happening in the world, and I try to write and ask questions about them some are serious, some about love, some are a mixture of everyday life as we know and see it today. The poems are amusing and thought provoking, what most people are thinking or saying, some may say they are controversial, but I guarantee they will leave you wanting more. After my debut book I was asked if my follow up book would be the same? Well I am pleased to say it’s better, with the same humour, sarcasm, emotion and points of view. So many times, people have something to say but find it hard to express their feelings they hold back and implode then later regret that they never said anything, I find putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard an easier way to express suppressed feelings and what better way to express one’s self than with humour, reality and a democratic points of view. Poems of love express what many would like to tell their love ones, and criticism of the not so loved. I believe in these uncertain times we need to look at life in a different way without holding back, let’s face it life is short but maybe we can expand it by looking at it in a different way or from different points of view.

About the Book
After his first book was published by Authorhouse in April 2018, Herbie Dunnan was constantly asked; when is the next one being published? It has taken him two years to complete this new and exciting follow up. Herbie was involved in an accident in October 2018 and this took a while for him to recover; although throughout his recovery he was thinking about and writing new material, once again Herbie’s thoughts questioning, and reasoning are displayed in this new book. Herbie seems to touch on many subjects which includes love, knife crime mental health and of course black lives matter. Poems filled with thoughts on everyday life, poems such as Wind rush crisis, Ends War, Economy or Life and What is your colour; shows his wide range of thinking. Once again he shows comfort, humor, and emotions in his poems, so the reader is kept entrained throughout.
About the Author
Herbie Dunnan is a proud Jamaican who resides permanently in the UK, he went to school in London and after completing his studies became an engineer sheet metal worker. While doing this; he also completed a youth work and counselling course which helped him to gain work in this field and has a (LSA) learning support assistant he loves dearly, helping students in the school where he works. Seeing students change from young children to young adults is very rewarding, although it can be quite hectic at times; he continues to write poems in his spare time. Herbie loves working out in the gym or park whenever he gets the opportunity, he observes and question many things; this is shown in most of his poems.
