About the Book
Shaun, the little Leprechaun, who lives near Larne, in N Ireland, has many adventures. During a holiday visit to the island of Cyprus, he performs magic, and saves a village from disaster, much to the delight of the residents in this Cypriot mountain village. There are 4 other short stories – ranging from “Hannah’s birthday bicycle” to the tale of the “Cyril & Mabel - the red Squirrels”, which should delight young people from the ages of 5 to 9 years. With the help of lovely illustrations the young person will be able to meet and follow Shaun and the other characters in these stories.
About the Author
Patricia Beattie has always loved children and has been recounting stories to them from her earliest years. It was during the Covid -19 Pandemic that Patricia decided to write down some of her stories and “Shaun the Leprechaun and Other Children’s Short Stories” is the result. This is her 2nd published book, the other called “Daughter of Laharna”, is an account of growing up in the largest tour hotel in Ireland and its history recorded over 100 years. Patricia is lives in Drains Bay, outside Larne, N Ireland, ‘gateway’ to the world famous Antrim Coast Road. She is an historian and author and is happily married to an author. Her hobbies are singing, gardening and flower arranging. *** Samuel Batley is a professionally qualified and talented Illustrator from The Isle of Wight, in the UK, and father to 4 boys.
