She makes it back home just a little after six a.m. because her gym is ten minutes away. She showers in her apartment; she doesn’t want to stay around talking to anyone. She says the people at the gym must think I am a snob or too good to talk to anyone. They don’t know my story so what does it matter to me. When they have walked in my life they can say something to me; until then, keep your funky comments to yourselves. I don’t need any friends; I have my work to keep me company. She lays out her clothes on her bed before she gets in the shower. She has a pair of black loose-fitting jeans along with her tan blouse that fits just how she likes it. Nothing for anyone to be attracted to. She puts on her black Nike Air Max size eight, gets her gray scarf and her black leather jacket that zips up and off she goes to work. She walks to work during the summer quite often because it is only twenty minutes away. It is cold outside, so she catches a cab. Tiana is never late for work. There is a quaint bakery across the street from her job she stops at frequently. She is ordering some pastries to take to the staff of thirteen when the brother behind her asks her do you need a hand, my sister. She doesn’t even turn around she says, “No thank you, I am quite capable of walking and carrying at the same time”. I didn’t mean any disrespect my sister, just trying to be a gentleman. She turns to look at him and looks right through him and says, there are no such thing as gentlemen. I could tell you what they are, but I don’t have a few years for that. He said ouch and spoke a little French to her as she was leaving. He watches her as she crosses the street and goes into the office building. He goes to the office building she went into; at least ten different companies are located there. He must try and find out what company she works for.
