About the Author
Amanda McIlwain Hauser keeps magic a part of childhood! As a mother to eight children, an elementary school teacher, and an author, designing and delivering engaging and enchanting childhood experiences is not just a job; it's a passion. Growing up on a farm in rural Indiana, Amanda spent her free time crafting, experimenting, creating, writing, and exploring... the cornerstone of a life spent doing and growing. Graduating valedictorian of her college class with a degree in elementary education and then earning a master of education degree in curriculum and instruction, the desire to serve children led her to the public classroom where she taught over fifteen years. During a short respite to raise her small children, Amanda revisited the expressive threads of childhood and immersed her family in various learning experiences through a self-created homeschooling curriculum that journeyed her family across the entire United States. It was then that Amanda embarked upon a new endeavor, sharing her family's magical holiday experiences through a new children's picture book series.
