About the Book

This book is about a young girl named Josie. Josie lives with Ms. Brown. In this book, you will read how Josie transition into her new home, school and meet new friends. The author wrote this book to help young children like Josie and herself when she was Josie’s age to help with transitioning into their new home and the challenges that come along with it.

About the Author

Hello! My name is Jamillah Smith. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Currently, I live in North Carolina. I have a BA in Special Education, an MA in Supervision and Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I experienced placement in foster care twice. My first foster home was with a married couple and the second foster home was with a single parent. I wrote this book to help young children with who are struggling with adjusting to their new home, school and friends.
