About the Book

About the Author
The author, George S. Haines, was reared on a working farm near the site of this novel. As an experienced teacher in the local public schools and at Taylor University he knows the locale area. Each of his adventure stories reflects this early knowledge. Haines graduated from Purdue University with B.S. and M.S. Degrees. He earned his doctorate at George Peabody College for Teachers now a college at Vanderbilt University. At Taylor University he served as professor of education and director of teacher education. He lives in Ft. Myers, Florida. The cover artist, Betty Wedeles, has taught beginning and advanced art classes during her illustrious career. Her artistic creations have won many citations and awards. Her knowledge and application of color, harmony, value and composition are evident in her artistic rendition on the front cover. She lives in Ft. Myers, Florida.
