About the Book

After the flood, God made a covenant with Noah and all his descendants that never again would the earth be destroyed by water. The sign God gave Noah to assure him of this covenant was the rainbow. (Genesis 9).  The rainbow is a symbol of God’s faithfulness and mercy, which is available to all of us today and for generations to come.

What has God promised you? Are you currently waiting on a promise to be fulfilled from God? Do you believe that God will do it? Can God trust you to do your part?

This book is an expansion to Joyce’s first book, Nutritional Nuggets & Nourishment for the Soul…Feasting on the Word of God, wherein she hinted to “hitting some major potholes along the way” and surviving through tough times. This book contains some of those life’s experiences, setbacks, and a more in-depth look at how God brought her through those storms by latching on to God’s promises in His Word. God did not promise we will never experience storms, but He has promised that He will be with us through the storms.

This book also contains re-call moments during her journey through life with do’s and don’ts, she refers to as “Joyce-isms”, so that others may learn from her experiences and take heed to the messages provided. There are many scriptures to guide you along the way.

About the Author

Joyce is a recent retiree and currently living a somewhat leisurely lifestyle. She keeps her ear close to God, as He dictates her thoughts while journaling in preparation for writing Christian books to leave as a legacy for future generations. She currently has two grown children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom live in her native hometown, Charlotte, NC. Joyce enjoys scrapbooking and assisting others in support of their life’s events: birth/death announcements; letter/resume writing; and retirement planning consultation. Joyce also volunteers at her church for ‘on-call’ events. She enjoys searching the Scriptures, commentaries, and other resources to share during her weekly life enrichment group. While Joyce has many scriptures that she stands on, one of her favorites is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (KJV).

The Amplified Version reads: “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me: I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”
