About the Book
Thick skin is not an indication that we have been through a lot therefore, we can take care of ourselves during hard times. It does not mean that we are officially resistant to pain and being mishandled. As children of God, we have been taught that if we suffer with God, we will reign with Him. Life and religious boundaries being crossed have tarnished some of us physically, and spiritually. We pretend to be numb to the secular and church world while wearing a façade. The enemy wishes that we embrace our ego, moreover, building a wall of defense that no one can get through but God. Everything hidden behind the wall causes us to become reckless and self-destructive. It is not until God takes us through a very intentional process of navigating us individually through our healing, reintroduction of our identity, and relationship with God. He takes us through rigorous tasks and challenges to promote growth. As He stretches us to capacity He then individually trains and prepares each of us for greatness in the Kingdom. Through obedience it is confirmed that He can trust us with kingdom business. God begins to develop layers of faith, confidence, authority and power to be able to stand our ground steadfast and unmovable. God wants us healed and pliable so that we can bring each other out with the intent that His kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven. He wants us wearing His coat of thick skin. Many of us want the anointing and power but are we ready to do the work to get it.
