About the Book

Start a New Christmas Tradition 7 Sleeps ‘til Christmas tells the story of a tiny Christmas tree’s adventure from tree farm to living room. Three children are involved in the adventure. Together the four characters share holiday traditions and grow in trust and love. This book is appropriate for ages 5 through 8 based on what we know about imagination at this stage of development. 7 Sleeps‘ ‘Til Christmas is designed to walk a new path in the field of children’s literature. Because children love to have stories read to them, we start there at age 5. The reader, (parent, grandparent, teacher, sibling, friend, or other) should begin to read the book on December 18th, and follow with a chapter each day until Christmas Eve. The seven chapter book can be read with the child at ages 6 and 7. That means that the child can follow the text and read words or parts of the chapters at this stage of reading development. By age 8 the child becomes the reader. May this story become a treasured part of your holiday season.
