About the Author

Miliki Fisher was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in the Passyunk homes. He went to the schools in South Philadelphia. He has a wife of eleven years and four children. Miliki Fisher loved to draw cartoon characters. He began to draw at the age of five. In school Miliki made posters and book report covers for his fellow classmates. At lunchtime the kids used to sit around and watch him draw. He also entered into drawing contests. Certificates and awards were given to him for his artwork. Miliki would draw cartoons for hours at home. He wanted to make the cartoons talk, just like the cartoons on TV, so he began to make illustrations. He would draw balloons and write words in them. He would have the cartoons talk to one another. Miliki started to create his own cartoons. He was making his own comic books. In the sixth grade he ran for class president. He drew up all the posters to help him win. At the age of twelve years old he joined a DJ group. He did block parties, birthday parties, and weddings in his neighborhood. At that time music was a big part of his life, but drawing was more important. He saw a group of people painting walls; they were cleaning up graffiti in the city. The city was hiring kids for the summer, so he signed up for the Anti-Graffiti Program. He worked with anti-graffiti painting walls. Then he began to paint murals. He was in the program for four years. Miliki took interest in his writings and he began to do more writing and less drawing. Miliki has been writing short stories and novels for fifteen years.
