The Light

The characters in this book are not meant to represent any specific person or family, although it is hoped that in some ways this book represents many individuals and families in modern times. It is based on a composition of many people, but no one individual. This book is about choices. The choices we face each and every day, and the reasons and results of those choices. Everything we do carries with it a price or consequence, either a reward or a punishment. Nothing happens in a vacuum.

This book is about hope. The hope we have that no matter how bad life becomes, no matter how bad the choices we make are, no matter how much trouble those choices bring, there is still hope, and change is still possible. Hope is assured, because no matter what, no matter how bad we become, we have the power to change, especially with God's help (Philippians 4:13, Romans 8:28,32).

This book is also a book about love, the love two people can have for each other that carries them though trials, and a love they can still show even to children who have almost destroyed them.

This book is also about the love of God, who knows each person, who loves them, and will always help them, if they will ask for His help, and if they are willing to, and do, obey His Word (Matthew 11:28-30).
