About the Book

Four thousand years ago in Egypt, a general was executed for treason. In those golden days of the Egyptian pharaohs, deadly court intrigue was nothing unusual. But in this case, the victim was innocent. Though the pharaoh ordered his death, he remained uncertain of the man’s guilt. Thus before his tomb was sealed, the royal head whispered a petition to the ancient gods. He asked that if at any time in the future this man were proven blameless of the charges, they would come back for retrial of his tormented wandering spirit.

In the nineteen nineties proof is found and the slumbering gods are awakened. Bizarre political and religious opposition burst into violent motion as Harry Warren, United States Naval Intelligence and Felicia Granadas, Central Intelligence Agency band together to contest world intelligence agencies wanting the mummy regardless of cost. Its believed long lost secrets to Starlight, a legendary ancient pathway to the stars, can be learned through the mummy. Men die while political fractions viciously clash leaving behind crushed dreams, smashed political alliances, and a rare window into the past. Amidst this violence Harry and Felicia are faced with ensuring the ancient mummy is returned to Egypt. PHARAOH’S PROMISE is about a covert operation plagued with deception and greed as two people entrusted with an ancient promise have to fight, not only the modern day prejudices and savage ambitions, but governmental interference that brings the United States Navy closer to disobedience regarding their orders.

The President frequently changes his policy on capturing the secret, which finally drives Harry and Felicia underground in their race to find the mummy and safely return it to a rightful burial somewhere in the Egyptian deserts. With various intelligence agencies chasing them around the world, it is Israel’s Mossad who discreetly assists the blacklisted agents.

PHARAOH’S PROMISE is a novel bringing the ancient world and modern Twentieth Century elbow to elbow as a solemn petition muttered four thousand years ago threatens to destroy political alliances and destroy lives caught in its supernatural unfolding.
