WILLIAMSTOWN
With no words
between them,
two elderly people,
man and woman,
sit side by side
at a picnic table reading
the sunday newspapers.
The only sound,
is the sound
of the pages
being turned.
ENDEARMENT
After meeting you
I soon realized that
you had touched my soul
with the sun’s morning light.
Each day brought
unknown energies
flowing into my life.
. . . and then it ended.
The years have passed.
Now
when I
think of you,
your laughter
comes running back
over paths
we never took.

About the Book
The poems in this book focus on events that affect our lives whether in love, friendship, or death. There are forces that guide us in life. As the poems are read, the readers will come away with a better understanding of the changes that occur in their lives. The poems "set up a counterpoint between what is said and what is left unsaid which in turn creates a silent dialogue between the reader and writer." About the Author
The author was born in Easton, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Oxford, New Jersey. After high school he worked in a factory, a restaurant, did construction, and drove a soda delivery truck. He was a member of a volunteer fire department. He received a B.A. from St. Francis College and a M.A. from Boston College. He continued his studies for a doctorate degree at SUNY/Albany. He lives in rural upstate New York with a troupe of "found" creatures.
