Taking you to romantic plains higher. You will enter your next life And get a glimpse of lost glory: For he will find the corners of your world Beneath this resplendent sky. Chorus: Ecstasy from the sun Is your first taste of passion. Show me the beauty of your mind Give me love of any kind Gulp down my blood trying Drink the nectar of my reckoning. Shine on my innocence, I await your magnificence. My first taste of passion Is an erotic union That will bring joyous laughter And happiness forever. [And Ra came with thunder, fire, and wind and filled her with energy. Then vanished. Africana dances in the flames with ecstasy in her eyes.] |

About the Author
K.G. Bell, Playwright, Poet, Historian grew up in the artistic world of the Caribbean and ever since boyhood was a part of the pageantry and artistry of Trinidad’s Carnival. His soul was inspired by the riches of the many festivals of his homeland, Trinidad. The land of Steel pan, Calypso, Limbo, Divali, Phagwa and exotic costumes presented the stage for his grand stories. Carnival is history, fantasy, and drama on a grand scale from which Mr. Bell drew the inspiration to develop his characters and scenes to challenge the imaginations of audiences and readers with his plays. His inventive ability forces us to view the Theatre in a new light affected by all the changes of modern society. He strives to show similarities between the Thespian period and Modern times. As an ardent supporter of the classics, his dramatic stories make with grandeur, similar to the types of drama found in ancient Egypt or Greece. In this Volume of Plays, Mr. Bell attempts to show that there comes a time when Humankind peeps through windows of Hope to find the light, and ‘Fair Nature’ rises up to stand at its side to unleash her rage or her love, and design the rhythms of destiny.
