About the Book

Finally it is here.  A book written by a teacher of 40 years experience working with students from Kindergarten through to the University level.

A Teenager’s Guide to Success is not mere theory.  It is the sharing of information gathered over a lifetime in the classroom, working chiefly with High School and College students.

The book answers the often-asked questions about succeeding in school and in later life.  It deals with the importance of working towards a goal; developing time management skills; handling peer pressure; seeing failure as an opportunity; the importance of being willing to learn from anyone who has knowledge to share; listening and learning; money management; how to resist high pressure sales techniques; the importance of moral and spiritual values in the teenager’s life; the importance of accepting responsibility for his/her success, and many, many more ideas.

The book examines – ability, aptitude, attitude, ambition and application (hard work) as the secrets of success.  It suggests different ways of handling conflict, and shows how to promote healthy relationships.  It suggests qualities, which teenagers who aspire to leadership roles should have, and concludes with a section on motivational and inspirational poems, along wit poems, which present matters of a social nature, which all teenagers should think about.

A Teenager’s Guide to Success as the name suggests, provides the reader with a road map of life for the difficult teen years.  The book is great also for family discussions or counseling sessions.  It is a work which pre-teen, teenagers, and parents alike will find exciting, informative and different.  It is a MUST for your library.  You will not be disappointed.
