About the Author
Sarah Boyd Nickerson, a single parent, mother of three sons was born April 4, 1957 to Lonnie and Willie Frankie Boyd in a small town called Brundige, Alabama . I was brought up in a Christian home, in a family of fifteen. My father was a minister of Lily White Holiness Church Brundige, Alabama. I married at an early age of fifteen October 13, 1972. I accepted Christ in my life at the age of eighteen, and a few months later I became the youth Sunday school teacher at Lily White. I have been working with young people every since. In August of 1987, I began to write inspirational skits, and writing became a very important part of my life. In fall of 2000, I began to write poems. The poem "Don't Weep'' was a special poem I wrote for my younger sister Cynthia Wheeler, after her doctor told her there was nothing else he could do, and she was going to die from Colon Cancer. I was very close to my sister and spent a lot of time with her. I knew that she didn't want her family and love ones to or shear no tears, The poem "Don't Weep" is what I felt from the inside of my sister.
