About the Book
Stories for Kids Only
Warm and good hearted, like the story of Bunga, a kid who loves food and has big heart, or the squirrel that has a hard time taking care of his family. There is another of a snake who is a hero, and a jealous boy who has to learn a lesson. Enjoy the story about a girl named Lisa that helps her friend Mandy.
There are twenty short and some longer stories. Many stories to keep kids busy, and they can learn from this book.
This book came about because the author was tired of rejects and the phrase, "Please resubmit in a month, not right for our list at this time."
The publishers missed out on, "Russell Raincloud," "The Coin," and "Unwelcome," the story of a family from Italy who came to America to have a new life, and found something else. This author wants kids to read all of these stories and make up their own mind if they like them or not.
The whole difference in the way kids grow is giving them a choice.
About the Author
Nearing seventy, the children stories she writes must get into the world of children to read. She wrote children’s stories for years, but never published. Now, she has put a mix of stories together in a book, Stories for Kids Only. This book has so many different stories in it. She loved the challenge of doing it. Her education was limited. She learned to read by sounding out each letter in books that were available. The books were called fairy tales. So wonderful is that world that she would get lost in it. The world children seek is make-believe, where they are in control, and they can learn good and bad. Reading is this world.
