EPILOGUE

"EPILOGUE: The Rings of Reality Vol. 2" is an intensive investigation of the fundamental nature of ''REALITY'', "EPILOGUE" is the summation of the findings of that study and the implications of their influence on the course of human development.  The cosmos is an immense complex of intricately interwoven activity patterns of a limited number, (109), of elemental materials that exist as minute ''entities'' known as ''atoms''. That complex has no definable limitations in either extension or duration.  Environmental conditions, of pressure and temperature, throughout the known universe, are either very high or very low, so we find evidence of the corresponding elemental materials in the pure form, in mechanical mixtures and in a variety of chemically bonded substances, in the solid, liquid or gaseous state and there is little indication of anything more complex. The one known exception is the marvelous blue/green ''Jewel of the Cosmos'', ''Planet Earth''.

Planet Earth is surrounded with an atmosphere, as thin as the skin of an apple, and that skin is swarming with life. For many millions of years the environmental conditions have remained generally within the range of liquid water, exceeding it only locally and temporally and then not by much, except for random volcanic activities.  Vigorous weather activities continually stir the available materials, creating an environment that is very conducive to atomic bonding, wherein each new pattern of bonding creates new possibilities of increasing complexity.

Today, these patterns are the uncountable, intricately interwoven hierarchies upon hierarchies of living things and here, above all other things, is intelligent life, humanity and that''s us.  Intelligent life has the innate capability to understand the nature of cosmic existence, and that, too, is us!  And ''When?'' is NOW!  There has been enough information available for nearly a century but arranging that information, in a form that would clearly illustrate the essence of cosmic existence, in an understandable way, has only recently been developed. That has been a primary objective of "The Rings of Reality" for something over 40 years.  It is now available in the publication, "Analytic MetaPhysics", "A New View if the Cosmos", ISBN 0-7596-5252-X.

This work presents a paradigm, in terms of a dynamic geometry which enables representation of the geometric activity patterns of the eternal, metaphysical cosmic unit of rotational motion.  This is the metaphysical activity that develops the materialistic aspects of the ''atoms'' which are manifest to us in terms of our human physical perceptions.  "Analytic MetaPhysics" is a summary presentation, the more complete philosophical details of its development can be found in "The Rings of Reality" expected to be available in book stores ''Real Soon Now''.

Animal life lies at the top of the hierarchies of cosmic activities. Animal activities are controlled by a brain and the activity in that brain, that selects optional activity patterns constitutes ''thinking''.  In general, however, that ''thinking'' is rudimentary and very limited.  Never-the-less, animals have remarkable capabilities, in an automatic or semi-automatic way. For example, a new born sea turtle, on the eastern seacoast, scrambles up out of the sand and heads immediately for the sea and for the great current that circulates in the Atlantic Ocean, between the U.S. and Europe.  Its navigational capability enables it to live in this current until maturity and then return to the beach of its nativity, to give birth to a new generation and there are the great seasonal migrations of birds, even the monarch butterfly.

Such things are amazing, and there are multitudes of this kind of capability, in animal life.   Actually, that''s the way all animal life works, it doesn''t involve ''thinking'', they don''t ''know'' ''what they''re doing'', in the same sense that a human does.  The human is uniquely distinct from all other life forms in the capability of its brain to engage in this ''thinking'' activity.

A human can ''think'' about anything at all, even ''make up'' things to think about.  The human imagination has no limits.  In the human imagination, ''Anything is Possible''!  But the human is not able to do anything like these automatic and semiautomatic patterns of existence.  The human brain is not even completely formed, at birth, and the human is unable to do much of anything until it can ''think about it''. Despite the marvelous complexities of modern life, we must all start at ''Ground Zero'' and learn ''how to live''. We must build a mental data bank that records our perceptions of the world we live in, together with our evaluation of its relevance to our needs and desires.  This mental data bank, in our head, is our ''Subjective Reality'', this is ''our world'' it is ''where we must live''.  BUT!  The Model Is Not The Thing!

The other animals respond directly and effectively to events. The human cannot respond directly to external events.  it responds only to the corresponding even in its ''Subjective Reality'', it is always a ''conditioned response''.  This thinking ability gives the human a tremendous survival advantage over all other life forms.
