About the Book
This is a historical romance set in the American frontier. This story tells of the abduction of twelve-year-old Lisa Brant and her struggle to find her way home. After spending a year inside the encampment, Lisa befriends the young brave, Grey Moon. She and Grey Moon fall in love, but because they both are so young they are forbidden to be together, but their love is so strong they find ways to be with one another. This story tells of the struggles the little girl had to endure, and even though she did not have her mother to guide her through her childhood, she had to grow up learning these things from the elderly squaw, Morningstar mother of the chief. Thirteen years old Lisa Brant tells Grey Moon she is with child. Lisa tries to find her way back home again, but before she reaches home, her child is born and she had to deliver the baby alone. Lisa returns to the tribe to be with Grey Moon. When Jacob grows into a fine young man, Lisa sees that he struggles with his identity and she sends him away from the tribe in search of her parent's, knowing if he returned he would return knowing where he truly belonged. When Jacob goes in search of his grandparent's, he meets Jolene, a widowed mother of two and he falls in love with her, but his struggle to find his true identity makes him hold inside of him how he truly loves Jolene.
About the Author
H.J. Sterle, began writing her first novel in 1995 after years of stories bouncing around in her head. As a single parent she raised five children, when the last of her children moved away from home she started putting these stories down on paper. Finishing her first story she set it aside until her youngest daughter presented her with her first computer with which she used it to copy these stories on. She met her co-author H. Brantz online and they became best friends, he encouraged and financially backed her to continue writing. From this encouragement comes her first book. Her thanks will always be to her co-author for all his encouragement, for without him this book could never be.
