Treasures From The Heart

Though written by one, this book belongs to many.

Its contents reflect the joys, sorrows, conflicts, and victories of people from many different places. "Treasures" offers solace and encouragement, smooths a troubled brow, and rejoices the heart.

A little more than a collection of poetry written as special requests from friends, acquaintances, and strangers, you will also find a section referred to as "pearls"; blessed excerpts from Scripture coupled with insight given by God, and discussed by Dr. Holt.

Each piece of poetry, or prose, is preceded by a brief explanation.

Dr. Evelynn C. Holt, founder and Executive Director of "The Charge Keepers", founded in 1997; The Charge Keepers is a non-profit, public benefit, organization established to minister to the needs of people. The charge is given for at-risk youth, the medically needy, family relations, literacy and educational development, as well as disaster relief and crisis intervention.

She has been Pastor of Bright Star Church in Madison, Alabama for seven years. She has been in ministry over 30 years (missionary, teacher, co- pastor, evangelist, motivational speaker).

Dr. Holt is an accomplished poet whose works have been published in, "Best Poems/Poets of the 20th Century" and "From the Mountain Top" by the International Society of Poets. She serves as spiritual advisor for CORE and is a member of the National Faith Based Chambers of Commerce (NFBCC). This is a vessel anointed, empowered, chosen, and sent by God!!! Dr. Holt has a message that must be heard. She is a Bible teacher ordained with a distinct message for this hour. God has bestowed upon Dr. Holt many diversified talents in order to get this message of hope and power to the public. She travels extensively, either preaching/speaking/reciting dynamic, unforgettable poetry in churches seminars, conventions, and civic functions. Where-ever an invitation is extended, and the date is open, Dr. Holt readily heeds the call.

Her poetry is inspired by individuals and/or situations. Some is given through the powerful gift of discernment with which she has also been endowed.
