About the Book
When Heather McNabb is called to the bedside of her
dying great-uncle, she is given his Bible and his admonition to find the
treasure. Although she knows very
little about her Scottish roots and the family treasure, she decides to move
from her comfort zone in Chicago to Fifeshire, Maine, where Thistle-field
Manor, her uncle’s home, is located.
Although she is drawn to Doug, the son of the manor
housekeeper, it is the new doctor in town, Ted Jensen, that commands her time
and attention. But an accident on the
highway, and a fire on the property bring Doug and Heather together in unusual
circumstances. But through all of this
the hidden treasure is not to be found.
Will it ever be?
