THE SPIRIT- BODY COMMUNICATION

In terms of the time periods of our physical universe, estimated by scientists at about 15 billion years from the time of its creation (1), our life span on earth is but a micro moment. Thus, is our short stint here on earth, but an insignificant fleeting aberration in the cosmological evolution; or is there a purpose to our life here?

The, materialistic view would say that we are the result of a chance collection of molecules that evolved by chance to posses self awareness; basically automatons that, through principles of Darwinian evolution, have evolved a feature that we refer to as consciousness for the purpose of self preservation. According to this view, after life ceases, we disappear back into the material components without any apparent purpose or trace.

Science, however, is beginning to, ever more forcefully, point to the inadequacy of the materialistic view to explain human mind, consciousness and spirituality. Even basic life forms and inanimate matter call for unifying concepts beyond our physical laws as we know them today. Based on the observation of the world around us, there is also reason to believe that our living and spiritual aspect is evolving along with the physical phenomena in the universe.

Additionally, human experience is replete with subjective, spiritual knowledge; testifying to existence beyond apparent death. As we will discuss, such knowledge seems to be either communicated or actually programmed in our beings and thus has manifested itself though the ages.

As far as we have a historical record, from ancient China, Egypt, India, and all known civilizations, mankind tried to understand God and the spiritual realm. While from a dogmatic point of view early mankind’s interpretations of mystical experiences seem different, one can not help but be struck by the common theme of a pervasive spiritual domain into which one passes after life. With the advent of Christ, we were provided insights as to the nature of this domain and clear directions on how to enter that part of the spiritual realm that corresponds to communion with God.

We will focus on discovering and understanding the underlying scientific basis of how such communication with the spiritual realm takes place. Throughout this book we will try to show that the emerging scientific concepts can shine new light on the mystery of life and its purpose, and can be fully compatible with subjective spiritual knowledge.
