About the Book

“Cannon fire”, is a story of a hard working family man who has always loved history, especially the Civil War era.  Books and movies were not enough so David joined a Civil War re-enacting group.  He chose the Union blue because his ancestors fought with the North.  David often brought his wife Victoria, “V”, who portrayed a nurse of the period.  On the eve of the biggest re-enactment event in Tennessee his friends back out of the trip for mysterious reasons.  David and Victoria go the trip alone; David was going to make this trip with or without his friends.  He dreamed of living back in time to experience what thousands of Civil War soldiers went through.  This trip he gets his wish and Victoria is caught between two times.


About the Author

He has been a Civil War re-enactor for seventeen years and his passion for history has been a part of him since he was a child.  Like many re-enactor’s the thought of going back in time lingers on their mind, but he takes this thought to another level, putting a man with his hobby into fighting for his life.
