This beautiful world of ours was created by God for His divine purpose and is filled with such great beauty and uniqueness. Man, God’s masterpiece, has such a wonderful ability and the potential to capitalize on his full purpose. Without purpose, life is empty and meaningless. I have come to understand that purpose is the key to life. Therefore, it is imperative that everyone discovers their purpose in life as they embark on such a long and tiresome journey. Our society is filled with people who seem to have lost their sense of purpose. They are out of touch with morals and worth. Disappointment, stress, depression, hopelessness, and fear have shattered their hope for living. The awareness of life is like a nightmare to them, which often makes waking up in the morning really of no real significance.
One of life’s greatest tragedies is not knowing the purpose for living, as well as not knowing the real reason for which you were created. These questions are consistently asked by thousands of people in our world today. “Why am I here?” “Why was I created?” “Is life worth living?” Who we are and were created to be is related to where we came from. We came from God, and He is our only source. We were created in His image and after His likeness. These questions that our human race ponders are quite universal in their scope. However, they will continue to evade us unless we can truly identify ourselves with God, accept the fact that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him. We have a wealth of purpose, potential, and ability to become successful in life spiritually, as well as physically.
There are millions of people today who are busy trying to make a living, but they experience very little of life, or none at all. Your goal in life should not be wealth or fame. If that’s your only purpose, chaos and destruction become the result. Without the discovery of purpose, life becomes dormant with little or no value. After discovering one’s purpose, the worth of living becomes clear. What one sees with his natural eyes does not determine his purpose. Purpose is an expectation of things to come, as well as to be accomplished. Therefore, to fulfill your purpose, you must have faith and believe even when all odds are against you. Your purpose can be accomplished through determination, your potential, your diligence, as well as your commitment. There is a vast capacity for development, and one must seek to tap into that powerful resource. There are hidden resources and reserved abilities in all of us. These unseen and reserved capabilities can later become visible through understanding and fulfilling your purpose. Strive to reach that goal! It is progressive. You must understand the tremendous purpose you possess and commit yourself to maximizing it in your lifetime!
The art of successful life is living in God’s divine purpose. The acknowledging of one’s creator creates a positive way to life, directs one’s discussion, controls his behavior, and directs his response to his fellow men and his environment. Without a divine relationship, the purpose of life is empty and without value; it creates an antisocial behavior, which affects the need to feel important or to experience a sense of self-worth, which ultimately allows one to lose his value of life.
As I walk the streets, I discover the wasted, broken, disoriented lives of individuals who are talented and intelligent—men and women who had dreams, desires, plans, but they have now become purposeless, their hopes shattered. This is an enormous tragedy that saddens me.

This book is intended primarily for those who are searching for the meaning of circumstances that occurred in their lives that cannot be easily understood.
As a result of the demands of the present socio-economic situation, many Christians have strong desires to equate life’s purpose in their ministries and to equate life’s worth with spiritual experiences and expectations. It is unfortunate that so many Christians live with uncertainty, without a way out of a stagnant some-ness in their maturation as a child of God with purpose. It would still be more unfortunate if there were no attempt to address this void.
This book will present a valuable option for a reference unto the reader’s personal challenges or struggles. Even though it be only a superficial knowledge, it will prove to be an immense assistance in the mastery of one’s self-consciousness.
The effort is made to enter upon those explanations that the author’s years of ministry and personal experience as a minister of the word of God provide; having been benefited, the writer’s desire is to share these views. The illustrious thoughts, moreover, are tempered by Scriptures, which will add depth and meaning to its use.
The author is deeply grateful to all those who in the most gracious possible way have examined the proof of the book throughout and have rendered invaluable assistance at any point. Much encouragement and help can be received from the wise council of this book. I find, nevertheless satisfaction in the though that the knowledge of any subjects promoted, to the extended degree, by the independent and honest treatment of each thought by the author is respected.

Reverend Dr. James A. Gordon is a member of the New Testament Church of God. He served as associate pastor of a local church for nearly three years and assumed pastorship for four years. He is presently one of the national evangelists working with the National Evangelism Home and Mission Team (NEHMT), serving Rev Dr. Gordon has preached dynamically under the auspices of the Holy Spirit throughout He is a graduate of the Faith Clinic Institute of Ministry, School of Theology, Jamaica W.I., where he acquired a diploma certificate in biblical studies.
