About the Book
For many of us there is a certain grace bestowed while reading the scriptures of one religion or another. Once again, God becomes available and quite real. This book contains the wisdom of several different bodies of religion. However, somehow the same God shines through. From the ancient Proverbs to the rest of the Jewish Scriptures to the enlightened mysteries of Sufism, a vast number of quotations are herein contained for your perusal and meditation. This is a book that you may want to carry around with you to enable you to freshen up your attitude when need be, or even more, to make that special connection with the God you sometimes lose sight of. Even if you do not consider yourself particularly religious, there is much insight to be found in Dunne''s Religious Quotations, A Treasury.
About the Author
In Religious Quotations, A Treasury Dunne takes a break from his authoring and edits a book. The subject matter reveals a kind of coming home for him to the spiritual principals he incorporated as a child. Yet, there is something new in his heart. He finds a means of relating to the God of his youth that was before unknown, that being the study of Sufism. Dunne was raised Catholic, but in his adulthood he broke with all things spiritual. His books capture his return to the Presence that perhaps never left him from the beginning. They are Underground Passages, Common Hearts, Common Minds, God and Me, and now, Religious Quotations, A Treasury. Dunne lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
