wild bird flying
free
wild wolf running

wild woman living within

beautiful sky eyes

It occurred to me,
when seeing thee,
that Life has all the
verbs that can be.
All verbs, all tongues
old to young,
Life claims—save one
not hers among.
Seeing thee, life gone,
lying there alone,
reminds me in the bone
that Life is on loan.
Death has verb power
in his solitary bower.
One verb, sweet or sour,
STOP-
this second, this minute, this hour.
