Charlotta

It was a cool day when she was born in 1947 and her Mother had already had nine children and she was number ten and not planed at all for that matter but she was welcomed into this world just with a smile and a sigh as to say another Girl . Her Father was an Engineer and he had not wanted another baby but when he locked at her he noticed that he loved her very much and then he said to his Wife ” it is okay to have her where there are nine that we can feed a tenth one is also welcome and we get enough Food for her as well . But when Carlotta was about three months old she got German measel and that was a surprise because it was said up to that point that only children over one year old would get them but this was only a little Baby and so her Mother was quite worried had she lost already three children during the second world War and now this it was not good  but the Baby had to stay in the Hospital where she was kept under darkened light and nobody was to visit her until she was stable enough to receive visitors . Any way her Mother came every day just to look into the little window that was there and see if she was okay  but when the Doctor came that one day he told her that Carlotta could go home in about a week but would still have to be kept in a dark room for her to fully recover . That was the entrance of a Life full of heartaches and  disappointment but nobody new how much this little Girl would have to endure before she could be truly happy with the man who truly loved her .Carlotta grew  up just like any other little girl just with the exception that she had four older Sisters and they where all jealous of her because of being so ill at such a young age her Mother had just a bit more love for her than for the older once not that she loved them any less because of it but she loved Carlotta more for she believed that God had been listening to her Prayer when she asked him  not to take Carlotta away from her and he did not . So needless to say there was always a kind of needling that the four Sisters would do to her they would tell their Mother everything that Carlotta did when she did something wrong and of course she got in trouble for it many times because of her Sisters  ! When Carlotta was about seven she told her Mother that she would like to play the Accordeon and she was granted that wish for her seventh birthday and also was given by her two Brothers a two year lesson by a very famous Player in Germany and she thought Carlotta well because after one year only she could play in an Orchestra and she loved it but her siblings did not most of all her oldest sister was full of jealousy of her little sister nobody knew ever why because  Helen was so much older than Carlotta and was already married by the time Carlotta started playing so there was no need or no rime for the behavior of Helen . As Carlotta was going on some of the tours with the Orchestra all over Germany when she was only eleven years old some of her other sisters talked to her Mother about the Tours and so on and wanted her to put a stop to all of that because they said , “it is not good for Carlotta to travel so much she has to go to School and she will miss a lot of her classes if she always goes on Tour and besides Mom , the oldest Daughter Helen said ,” she  has to look after my two children so you can have a little bit more rest than now . That was what Carlotta had to do when she was home ,look after Helens two children one was a Girl the other a boy and both of them where only two and three years old Helen was still working and did not show a lot of Love for her two little once and Carlotta felt so sorry for them when they where asking if their Mom would come home soon .  Lots of times Helen did not come home directly from work but she went with some of her co workers to a bar and then came home but only to say good night to her children and then go away again .
