Embraced your lies as the truth.
I bear the scars of my youth.
I thought you would be a friend
‘cause when I think of you…
I always think of you
and when you reach out to me
the words overwhelm me.
I would speak…
but what would I say?

The concentric circles of life
endlessly I roam.
Through the tears I feel the breath
of a friend who’s now unknown.
How did we drift? Why did things change?
Funny how things in life can rearrange.
Honesty got in the way.
I would speak…
but what would I say?

All of society
seems to think highly of their own norms.

there’s little elation when difference forms.

About the Book
Most of the poetry in this book was written during a 6-month period in the winter of 2002-2003. These are my collective thoughts from that time period addressing what I felt then in my heart. It comprises thoughts that I wished to share with people in my life but had not, be it because of distance, hurt, shyness, or anger. It was an attempt to express parts of myself that I had not shown to the world.
About the Author
Kyran Daisy is an Aries true to form. At only 22 years old, he had traveled to six continents and over thirty countries, all of which shape his poetry in subtle but fantastic ways. Now 31, he has successfully penned his way into the hearts of fans the world over with his book of poetry, Can’t Nobody Take Me Away! Kyran attended Boston University where he received his BA in psychology in 1997. It was in the fall of 1995, after his grandmother’s passing, that he began writing. The resulting “Can’t Nobody Take Me Away!” would be received with an ovation when read publicly on campus. Over the next few years his poetry would earn him multiple awards and publications.
