About the Book

PROSPERITY  God’s Desire for His People

should dispel once and for all any notion that to be poor or poverty on earth is God's desire for Christians.

The earth is the Lord’s and He filled the earth with riches. If these riches are not for His People on earth, for whom are these riches then? Scripture says that, “It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through righteousness that comes by faith.” Scripture also says that “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” The Holy Spirit in us assures us that, indeed, we, Christians, belong to Christ and, therefore, heirs to the promise, which is no less than the world! Hence, it is the Christians, the spiritual descendants of Abraham through faith in Christ Jesus, that God has vested with the dominion of the world. Such dominion, exercised with WISDOM, should lead to PROSPERITY for Christians, in particular, and for all peoples on earth (Genesis 22:18), in general.

The said verses also belie the claim of the Jews, the descendants of Abraham through Isaac, or that of the Arab Muslims in the Middle East, the descendants of Abraham through Ishmael, that it is the Jews or the Arab Muslims that God has vested with the dominion of the world.

About the Author

Isabelo Suelo Alcordo is one of the nine living children of a very poor Roman Catholic couple, now deceased, in Cebu, Philippines. He was born on July 8, 1935 and is married to Heidi Valero, from Bacolod City, for the last 48 years. They have four children. Despite such impoverished beginning, by God’s grace, he had the best education in the Philippines and in the United States:  BS from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos in 1958; MS from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu in 1962; and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1968. In April 1970, at age 34, he was elected by the Board of Regents as the third president of Central Mindanao University (CMU), at Musuan, Bukidnon, where he, as a self-supporting student-farmer graduated from high school in 1954. He retired in 1984. After the fall of the Marcos regime in 1986, he returned to public service as officer-in-charge of Nueva Viscaya State Institute of Technology (NVSIT) at Bayombong, Nueva Viscaya. He gave up the position to run for congress in 1987 in the 2nd District of Bukidnon in the island of Mindanao as an Independent to find out God’s will for him. He lost. Right after that, he gave up all thoughts of politics, sure that politics was not God’s chosen way for him. In 1988, he and his wife immigrated to the Unites States to join their U.S.-born son, Isabelo, Jr., in Florida. His wife was hired as a school teacher at Zolfo Springs Elementary School until she retired in 2004. The author worked at the University of Florida as a research associate in Soils/Environmental Science until he retired in 2002. They are now U.S. citizens, and all their children are now with them. Since they arrived in the U.S., the author has spent all his free time studying the Bible and the doctrines of the various Christian denominations as well as those of Judaism and Islam. He has two self-published books: “The Renewed Call to Jews and Gentiles to the Kingdom of God on Earth” (1994, Carlton Press, Inc., New York City, NY), and “Biblical History of Israel and the Kingdom of God” (2003, Xulon Press, Orlando, Florida).

The author has had several spiritual and/or mystical experiences, visions, and dreams and has survived no less than five life-threatening events since birth. The details are found in the inside pages of the book.
