We all have impact in life, the question is, is it a lot or a little? Is it for good or for bad? Is it temporal impact or eternal impact? As Christians, our reason for existence is to have a maximum impact, for the ultimate good, which is Christ, for eternity. We have one lifetime to do this and that is all. The question is how do we do this?
How we live must reflect what we believe. This being said, the life of a Christian must reflect who Christ is and what He taught. This is often the exception rather than the rule in Christianity today. God never planned it to be this way.
A man once had his hat and coat stolen. The thief then went on and robbed a bank in this stolen hat and coat. The thief then escaped discarding the hat and coat on the way out. The coat had the original owners name and address in it so the police went to his house and arrested him for robbing the bank. He of course was innocent but the police said your hat and coat were identified as those worn by the thief.
Today many Christians are like the thief — walking around in Christ’s coat but not acting like Christ — they are acting like themselves. Simply because you wear someone else’s coat does not make you act like that person. How you act will reflect your personality, not theirs. The other part of this is that the owner’s character is the one that gets scarred.
In our society many people are wearing Christ’s jacket but acting like themselves. It is the name of Jesus that gets covered in mud. We as Christians must become more and more like Jesus, not continue on as we always have.
This book is dedicated to helping you grow in virtue and thus grow in holiness. My desire is that you not only become more like our LORD but also grow in love for Him and unity with Him in the process.

Christianity is the only major religion whereby the Living God is proclaimed to indwell believers. If this is true then why do so few Christians reflect His likeness? Why do their lives match more of the surrounding world than that of Christ?
